In October 2018, Bristol hosted the Global Parliament of Mayors Summit. It was a gathering of Mayors from across the world to discuss ideas & share best practice.

Diverse communities across the city hosted Mayoral Receptions for their respective Mayors.

The Jamaican Community’s event, held at The West Indian Cricket Club, was organised by Primrose Granville, sponsored by Victoria Mutual, Grace Foods UK and Local traders.

Almost 100 guests attended, including the Jamaican High Commissioner and members of the mission’s team, Bristol Mayor, Deputy and Lord Mayors, CEO’s of Jamaican based companies, representatives from the University of Bristol and local businesses.

Joannies Event Services was given the honour of decorating the venue, which our team did to a very high standard, blending the colours of Bristol & Jamaica. We used shades of blue, green & gold against black.

The event was a big success and the host and audience were delighted with the decor and ambience.
